The challenges this week on Die Cut Dreams and Hand Full of Stamps was to use Food and/or Drink on your card. Also on Hand Full of Stamps we are to share a favorite recipe.
Here is my card. I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the cornucopia and cut it out; coloring done with glimmer chalks; Quickutz embossing border folder; fiber from my collection. TFL
Here is my recipe.....this is a really yummy salad for Thanksgiving or Christmas
If you think you don't like cranberries.....you will be changing your mind after you have this salad.
Two-Layer Cranberry Salad
3 oz. cream cheese (softened)
1 c. heavy cream
1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows
12 oz. package cranberries
Medium apple, peeled and cored
1 c. sugar
Two 3 oz. packages of cherry jello
2 c. boiling water
Whip cream cheese until creamy. At low speed, add heavy cream. DON'T WHIP. Stir in marshmallows. Cover and let chill overnight. Grind cranberries and apple, add sugar, set aside. Dissolve jello in boiling water, chill until syrupy. Fold in cranberries and apples. Pour into 9x9 glass pan, cover and chill until set. Whip chilled marshmallow mixture at high speed until thick. Spread on jello mixture. Refrigerate for several hours.
Very nice, I love the simplicity of it. Thanks for joining us at DCD.
