There's Magic in the Air, Cuttlebug Challenges, If the Shoe Fits Scrap It, Stampin for the Weekend,Bitten By the Bug and Pile It On


   Here is my project (mini folded box) for these six challenges.  Used Cricut Tags, Boxes and Bags cartridge for the mini box; printed paper is K&Company; Spellbinders Paisley; digi image is freebie from There's Magic In The Air; coloring done with Prismacolor pencils, OMS, Glossy Accents on jar, and Stickles (that doesn't seem to show in the picture); Quickutz Flourish long embossing folder; MS edge punch; ink distressing on all edges and on the top of the embossing; buttons are Jesse James from Hobby Lobby and twine from my collection.  TFL

Here is my card.  Printed papers are Paper Studio and I added some Stickles; sentiment is K&Company and I added some Stickles; net type glitter ribbon I got at a garage sale; snowglobe image is recycled from a gift tag from last year and I added some Stickles and ribbon.  I really love adding Stickles just about everywhere. lol  TFL

Here is my card.  I used a picture of a sunflower field that a friend sent to me a long time ago and put a black and white checked border around it; did some machine stitching to sew on the yellow lace; buttons and raffie from my collection; I made the sentiment on my computer and printed it on vellum.  TFL

The challenge this week on Haunted Designs was to make a Halloween card "Garishly Gleaming Glitter" .



Here is my card.  Printed paper and ribbon are from Target; MS Halloween punch and EK Success edge punch; sequined spiders; I stamped the sentiment and then added Stickles and 3D paint for the moon; I also added some black Stickles on the webs but it doesn't seem to show in the picture.  TFL

The challenges this week on Die Cut Dreams and Hand Full of Stamps was to use Food and/or Drink on your card.  Also on Hand Full of Stamps we are to share a favorite recipe.



Here is my card.  I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the cornucopia and cut it out; coloring done with glimmer chalks; Quickutz embossing border folder; fiber from my collection.  TFL






Here is my recipe.....this is a really yummy salad for Thanksgiving or Christmas
If you think you don't like cranberries.....you will be changing your mind after you have this salad.

Two-Layer Cranberry Salad

3 oz. cream cheese (softened)
1 c. heavy cream
1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows
12 oz. package cranberries
Medium apple, peeled and cored
1 c. sugar
Two 3 oz. packages of cherry jello
2 c. boiling water

Whip cream cheese until creamy.  At low speed, add heavy cream.  DON'T WHIP.  Stir in marshmallows.  Cover and let chill overnight.  Grind cranberries and apple, add sugar, set aside.  Dissolve jello in boiling water, chill until syrupy.  Fold in cranberries and apples.  Pour into 9x9 glass pan, cover and chill until set.  Whip chilled marshmallow mixture at high speed until thick.  Spread on jello mixture.  Refrigerate for several hours.

Humble Pie Stamps and Paper Arts

I have combined the challenge from Humble Pie Stamps to make a Halloween Themed Non-card Item and the challenge from Paper Arts that was Anything But a Card.



Here is my Halloween themed non-card.  I made a Halloween paper doll decoration using black lace for the dress; taffeta fabric for the sleeves and shoes; Halloween confetti bats on the shoes; confetti flowers in her hair; confetti skulls for ear rings; confetti sentiments on  her legs; fiber/yarn for long hair; cat is cut from fabric; wire for chain on cat.
