This is one of those great little discoveries that I stumbled upon by accident. Just love it when that happens!!! Last week I shared my discovery with Maggie at Cuttlebug Challenges and she asked if she could share this trick on the blog today. So I have posted up my tutorial and pictures here also so everyone can see just how to make this trick work.
You know how unsightly those ridges can be on your card base when you are using the border Cuttlebug folders.
Well I have discovered that if you use another folder on top of your card stock just along side the folder you are using for embossing you will not get the ridges.
Actually it will work by using anything that is about the same thickness as the folder. I got really good results using a strip of an old foam mouse pad. What makes this work is that you want even pressure on the card stock as it passes through the Cuttlebug machine. Be sure you do only one pass through the Cuttlebug machine.
I have tried using medium–thick weight textured and smooth card stock and it seems to work just great for me.
Thank you so much for this tip! I've not used my border edges because of that line, with your advice now I can avoid it altogether. Cheers, Kasey ~ in Oz
